Childcare Assistance Grants
SIGOPS supports a Childcare Travel Support Program – to help SIGOPS members who need to attend SOSP (and other SIGOPS sponsored events) but need assistance. See more details at https://www.sigops.org/conferences/cctsp/.
SIGOPS is able to provide some financial support for eligible parents. Information about how you can apply for assistance follows.
Applicants are requested to follow the instructions on the SIGOPS webpage and send requests to Young-ri Choi and Xiaosong Ma at ychoi@unist.ac.kr and Xiaosong.Ma@mbzuai.ac.ae.
The cap is $1000 per application for childcare. SIGOPS will approve applications on a case-by-case basis, subject to the SIGOPS budget constraints, with priority given to authors of accepted publications.
The deadline for submission is August 15, 2025 (previously August 3, 2025). Applications will be considered together, and applicants can expect to receive a response before the early/advanced registration deadline. If the demand is more than what SIGOPS had budgeted for, SIGOPS will consider providing a subset of the funds requested or potentially using a more needs-based prioritization among the applicants.
Those who need childcare services may use those arranged by SOSP’25.
