The Special Interest Group on Operating Systems (SIGOPS) addresses a broad spectrum of issues associated with operating systems research and development. Members are drawn from a broad community spanning industry, academia, and government.

    SIGOPS's areas of interest include: operating systems, file and storage systems, virtualization, networking as it relates to operating systems and the interaction of hardware and software development.
